03/30/21 - We are starting to see a slowdown in the supply chain. As a result, some items shown in-stock may be out of stock when you purchase them. This is due to the inconsistent updating of inventory from our manufactures and distributors. We are doing our best to update the inventory as soon as we receive information. If an item is not available when you purchase it we will notify you within one business day.
The cable has a female Raymarine E-Series connector (SeaTalk 2) on one end and a standard male NMEA 2000® connector on the other end.
The NMEA2000® Network Standard specifies the Mini and Micro cabling and connector specification for standard networks.
Some marine manufacturers have based their networks on non-standard connectors and Oceanic Systems' has a range of adaptors that can connect these networks to the standard cabling.
Please note that some engine manufacturers such as Suzuki, Volvo and Yamaha make their wiring the actual network backbone cable and in these cases the adapter cables end in a FEMALE socket to attach standard NMEA2000® devices to their backbone.
This cable is similar and preforms the same function as the now discontinued MARE-005.
