Description
The QK-AS12 AIS/VHF Fiberglass Antenna is a VHF and AIS antenna designed specifically for the marine industry.
The fiberglass VHF antenna benefits from a polyurethane coating, this provides protection of the antenna’s inner components.
With a Frequency range of 156 – 162.5 Mhz, an impedance of 50 Ω, a bandwidth of 6.5 Mhz and most importantly, a gain of 3.0 dBi, the QK-AS12 is the perfect fiberglass VHF aerial for small to medium-sized boats, whether for a sailboat, motorboat or tender.
Either,
- Use one antenna per VHF or AIS device, or,
- Use with an AIS/VHF Antenna Splitter to share one antenna between all VHF and AIS devices. As with all VHF antennas, if you wish to connect one antenna to both a VHF radio and an AIS receiver/transponder, you will need a VHF/AIS Splitter to allow your VHF radio and AIS devices to share one single antenna. VHF/AIS Splitter options include:
-
- A015-RX VHF/AIS Antenna Splitter for AIS receivers
- A015-TX VHF/AIS Antenna Splitter for AIS transponders/ transmitters
